Lillian Sawtschuk has been an educator for over 30 years. Since the start of her career, she has taken an active interest in working with students with learning exceptionalities. 

Lillian began her formal education at University of Toronto receiving a Bachelor Degree in Human Exceptionalities in Learning. She worked in the Toronto public school system early on as a teacher’s assistant and supply teacher.

In 1990, she took on a teaching job at TEAM School in Mississauga. She held the position as classroom teacher, resource teacher, vice principal and for the last 7 seven years as principal. During her time there she also completed her Masters of Education degree at Nipissing University.

As an administrator, Lillian furthered her professional development by becoming a Direct Instruction coach and trainer at national conferences in Eugene Oregon. She also received a Certification in Foundations of Applied Mindfulness Meditation at the University of Toronto.

Lillian currently is a founding member of the Mindful Society Global Institute and a member of the board of directors for the LDAPR, Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region.
